Is this a realistic horse color? Probably not. Was it really really fun to paint anyway? YES!

This little gal was one of a pair (Angel’s Kiss is the other) of buckskin tobianos that I painted for a custom order. This was my first attempt at a smutty buckskin… and it’s not an easy color to pull off with acrylics!

Anywho, the ‘plain’ buckskin Angel won out when it came time for the buyer to choose and this little gal trotted off to eBay. I almost had a chance to win her back a few years later, but got outbid. This turned out to be one of my favorite horses and once again I am wishing I never sold her. I tend to do that a lot with these guys… *sighs* Ah well, I can hope that the new owner is still as happy with her now as I am.
