Éire's Pride

Make: Breyer
Scale: Stablemate
Mold: Shire (G2)
Color: Blue-green Bay Sabino
Gallery: Fantasy Sabino
Medium: Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

I do accept custom order to revisit a color or pattern, but I try to never paint a perfect match. (One of the reasons I’m trying to make sure the galleries are fully uploaded before I start selling again!)

In this case, this little guy is a sequel to Whiskey in the Jar and is based on the same blue-green bay sabino pattern.

Éire is the Gaelic name for Ireland, which matched up well with the fact that Whiskey was named after an oldIrish Folksong. The color pattern is also matching in theme, if not quite tone for tone. He’s got a much deeper color than Whiskey, with more blue than green, and has a slightly shiny finish although they were both sealed with matte. (I blame the inconsistent tone of the Krylon sealers. Hopefully they’ve gotten better with time!)
