Make: Breyer
Scale: Stablemate
Mold: Cantering Foal (G2)
Color: Turquoise/Teal and White
Gallery: Other Color
Medium: Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

This little guy started with a solid light teal base and was stenciled with a darker shade of teal (turquoise?) and white. He was finished off with solid black eyes, mane, tail, and hooves. He’s a glossy, which accounts for some of the bad lens flare, and much cuter in person. Continue reading

Color: Green Tobiano
Gallery: Tobiano
Medium: Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

This little guy was an unnamed Add-a-Foal/Apology Foal and I have absolutely no information on him beyond these photos… which is why he’s named Weinig Groen Paard (which via Babelfish means ‘Little Green Horse’ in Dutch). Hey, when all else fails, go for the pun! *grin* Continue reading

Color: Dark Bay Tobiano
Gallery: Tobiano
Medium: Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

Not sure if you can tell from these pictures, but this little guy is actually a very dark bay, not black! I always found it amusing that my realistic foals tended to turn out superior to the realistic adults… one of the reasons I ended up swapping to micro minis on down the line. Continue reading

Color: Green and Gold Pseudo-Stone
Gallery: Other Color
Medium: Acrylics, Liquitex Phthalocyanine Green
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

This little gal was done as an Add-a-Foal for Gold Digger and shares the same pseudo-stone pattern. Goldie was the only mule resculpt I’ve done to date and is an odd little critter. Mule ears are a lot harder than they look… Continue reading

Medium: Acrylics, Liquitex Dioxazine Purple
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

Every so often I pull a complete blank on why I painted one of the models… this little guy is a perfect example. I know he was probably an Add-a-Foal, but darned if I can figure out for whom. Continue reading

Mold: Cantering Foal (G2)
Color: Rose Tobiano
Gallery: Tobiano
Medium: Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

Sadly I don’t have any more information on this little gal other than her photos. She looks to be an unshaded Venetian Rose, which is a little odd considering both two previous horses with the same color base were shaded (Kentucky Rose and the ROL Lida Rose). Continue reading

Mold: Cantering Foal (G2)
Color: Chestnut Roan Leopard Appaloosa
Gallery: Realistic Appaloosa
Medium: Acrylics
Status: Painted 200? and Sold 200?

I honestly can’t say if this was meant to be a roan first and then turned into an appaloosa or if it started out as an appy and just looks roan-ish. Either way, it’s a fun color (if possibly not realistic) and I love the way the splatterpaint looks when it comes out right. Florentine Flip was a paint to create, but the technique was definitely a keeper. Continue reading
