Most of my Andalusian customs have a musical bent and this little guy is no different. Piano means ‘softly’ and Adagio means ‘at ease’ so this fella is dancing to a soft, slow melody. Continue reading →

I was tempted to keep the musical theme going, but instead I went with ‘names not in English’ instead. (Although I did consider Rinforte).

Lentamente Para means “Slowly it Stops” in Spanish, which seemed appropriate considering the breed history and the dressage movement. Continue reading →

Named in the musical theme of my Andalusian customs, Piano means ‘softly’ and Morendo means ‘gradually dying away.’ Which seemed to fit the soft and slow beats of the Piaffe that the mold is performing. Continue reading →

This little guy was a custom order and one of the few gray horses that I have painted. His name comes from the fact that I was in the middle of painting him when I had an emergency trip to Arizona for a week. I’m really not sure how to explain this guy. … Is it possible to use ‘you had to be there’ in regards to customizing?

My friend Jess painted his basecoat, but decided she didn’t like the color combination. I meant to strip him… really I did.
